Uploading Music
FreeMix supports five upload types, each designed for a different kind of content. The upload flow guides you through every step — choose what you’re uploading, add your audio, fill in metadata, pick a license, and publish.
FreeMix auto-detects BPM, key, and stem types from your files. You can always override anything it gets wrong.
Large WAV and AIFF files are automatically compressed to FLAC before uploading — this is lossless (no quality loss) and can cut upload time dramatically.
After publishing, your music appears on your profile page and in the activity feed for other users to discover.
Upload Types
Section titled “Upload Types” Tracks Upload a complete song or composition, optionally with stems.
Stems Share the individual parts of a production — drums, bass, vocals, synths.
Samples Share one-shots, loops, and snippets for other producers.
Remixes Upload a derivative work and link it to its source for attribution.
