Share Your Music on Bluesky

The situation: You just uploaded a track on FreeMix and want to announce it on Bluesky.

FreeMix runs on the AT Protocol — the same network as Bluesky — so the account you sign in to FreeMix with is an AT Protocol account. Cross-posting publishes from that account, and the post appears on Bluesky like any other.

  1. Upload and publish your track on FreeMix as usual.

  2. On the published confirmation screen, look for the “Share on Bluesky” option.

  3. Click it to publish a post announcing your upload — with your track title, a link back to FreeMix, and a preview card.

Which account it posts from

The cross-post always goes out from the account you’re currently signed in to FreeMix with — nothing else.

  • If you signed in with a Bluesky account, the post lands on that Bluesky profile.
  • If you signed in with a FreeMix account (a you.freemix.fm handle), the post goes out from that identity. It’s a real account on the network, so the post is visible on Bluesky like any other.

FreeMix has no way to post from a different account than the one you’re signed in with. If you have a separate Bluesky account you’d rather post from, sign in to FreeMix with that account.
