Uploading Samples
Samples are creative building blocks — drum hits, synth stabs, vocal chops, loops, and longer musical excerpts that other producers can use in their own work.
Sample Categories
Section titled “Sample Categories”- One-shot — A single audio hit with no rhythmic or melodic content over time. Typically under 2 seconds. Kick drums, claps, synth stabs, vocal chops.
- Loop — A repeating musical phrase, typically 2–30 seconds. Drum loops, bass lines, chord progressions, hi-hat patterns.
- Snippet — A longer musical excerpt, typically 10–60 seconds. Vocal phrases, atmospheric textures, melodic passages.
- Mixed — A combination of different sample types in one collection. Use this if you’re uploading a variety, or if you’re not sure which category fits best.
