Editing Your Profile
How to Edit
Section titled “How to Edit”Go to your profile page and click Edit Profile, or find it in the user dropdown menu. Make your changes and click Save.
Editable Fields
Section titled “Editable Fields”Display Name — Your artist or project name as it appears on FreeMix. If you signed in with an existing AT Protocol account (like Bluesky), your display name from that account is shown by default until you set a custom one here.
Bio — A short description for your FreeMix profile. If you have an existing AT Protocol account, your bio from that account is shown by default.
Avatar — Your profile image on FreeMix. If you have an existing AT Protocol account, your avatar from that account is shown by default. You can upload a custom avatar to differentiate your FreeMix identity.
Artist Label — Choose from: Producer, DJ, Label, Vocalist, Beat Maker, Sound Designer, Mastering Engineer, or Other. This appears as a badge on your profile. (FreeMix-specific — no default from other accounts.)
Genres — Select up to 5 genres from the full genre taxonomy. These appear as pills on your profile and help other users discover you. (FreeMix-specific.)
Roles — Check all that apply: Producer, DJ, Vocalist, Instrumentalist, etc. These describe what you do in music. (FreeMix-specific.)
PRO Affiliation — Optional. Enter the name of your performing rights organization (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, PRS, GEMA, etc.). (FreeMix-specific.)
Links — Add, edit, or remove links. Each link has a URL and a label (e.g., “Bandcamp,” “Instagram,” “My Website”). These appear on your profile for visitors to find you elsewhere. (FreeMix-specific.)
