Plans & Billing

FreeMix is free to use — anyone can create an account. All features are available all plans: uploading, licensing, earning, downloading, and more. You don’t need a paid plan to use FreeMix. We wanted a generous free tier so that creators can get started right away.

The FreeMix paid plans are for those who need more storage, more stem separations, and higher quality separation.

No matter which plan you’re on — including free — all features are available:

  • Upload as many tracks, stems, and samples as your storage tier allows. No cap on how many tracks, stems, or samples you publish. You’re only limited by your storage.
  • Put anything up for sale, and earn royalties. Earning works the same for everyone. Set your price, set your royalty, and get paid when your work sells or when someone builds on it. (The whole story lives on Pricing & Earnings.)
  • The same flat platform fee. When your work is bought, FreeMix takes the same 12.5% of the price on every plan, deducted from your earnings. Royalties are not subject to the platform fee.
  • The full license framework. Every tier, every modifier, available to everyone.

Upgrade to a paid plan to get these features:

  • More automatic stem separations each month. Separation runs on our own GPUs, so it’s the one feature we meter. Free gives you a taste; the paid plans give you room to work. (See Automatic Stem Separation.)
  • Higher-quality separation. Paid plans run our best model — cleaner results, fewer artifacts. Free runs the standard model, which is still very good.
  • More storage. Room for more uploads, more stems, more high-resolution audio.

Four plans — Free, Pro, Plus, and Studio — with more separations and storage as you go. Choosing a Plan lays them side by side and walks through who each one is for. Already subscribed and need to change or cancel? That’s Managing Your Plan. All paid plans use the highest-quality separation model, so you’ll get the best results.

See Choosing a Plan for pricing and more details.
